She nurses every 4 hours (still overnight) and eats baby/table food 2-3 times a day. She still breastfeeds and takes pumped milk but I have started having to supplement a little bit (usually 4 ounces a day). Working has messed with my supply. At first I was little bummed but I know I am doing the best I can for her and she still is mostly breastfeed. She loves any fruit and most veggies. She also loves puffs, and mum mum's (rice husks). The last few days we have tried table food and she has had lots of fun eating corn, green beans, bread, and bananas. It's a lot of fun at dinner time because she can feed some things to herself while we can also eat.
She is about 18 1/2 pounds, and wears 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers and size 2 shoes when she leaves them on.
She is quite the pro now of sitting up. She does get excited and she falls but still hasn't figured out how to sit back up yet. She is starting to LOVE playing with her toys. She still love her Sophie but loves her big block, these wooden fish, and getting all of the toys out of a basket. I had to get a large basket to contain her toys! I also got out this stuffed baby doll which she loves! She squeals and hold the baby...so sweet!
Joe brought home this Jeep walker from Indiana (that he bought for his niece when she was a baby) which Amelia really loves. Except when she is stuck and needs mommy to get her out.
Today she pulled herself up in her crib when I had her sitting down in the crib. So proud!
She has started to get on all fours and rock but no official crawling yet. Also no teeth yet! I can see them on the bottom and the top but no poking through yet. And hasn't said any real words yet. It seems that Amelia isn't an overachiever in her milestones, and I'm learning not to compare!
Amelia went to the beach for the first time. It's actually Yorktown Beach which is a river right off the ocean. The water is calm and there is a good size sandy area. Her favorite was the sand and getting it over everything and her mouth...yuck!
Amelia loves swimming and bath time. Before she used to scream during bath time and now she cries when I get her out of the bath. She loves her rubby ducky and kicking in the water. I need to find more bath toys for her!
I say it every month but she is the best little girl and we love her so much!
