Time for Knitting

I have been knitting a lot more recently.

I have been going through phases of being crafty. There are times when I just cannot get enough knitting. And then there are times when not even in my brain waves. In those time, I will stumble upon a crafty blog or see a pattern and I am know that I will have to start again!

Lately, I have been thinking about Christmas. Or sometimes I find myself knitting and Joe will ask "Who is that for?" I will say it's a Christmas present! But then I never know who!

I ordered some beautiful yarn from knitpicks and have started my next project. I have already restarted three times! This pattern is pretty intricate so I am trying to figure out what I am doing.

Who knows? This might be your Christmas present!

Off to Chi Town

We are leaving for Chicago this afternoon. And what's kind of fun is the trip is completely not planned. But we do know that we are going to see Wicked on my Birthday (Friday)! This was miss Tricia's idea and I decided that Joe and I needed to dress up!. Hopefully there will be pictures to document our adventures and fun stories to tell.

Joe's old roommate is coming to take care of the dogs. We won't tell him what to expect from Cooper. Remember my scarf I started a couple of weeks ago? Well I use wooden needles. I have learned (twice) that I cannot leave the knitting within Cooper's nose because that means my needles will be no more. He has eaten three needles while doing this project. I bought a super cute knitting bag today so I must remember to keep my knitting in there away from Cooper and his chewing tendencies.

Also yesterday at work while there was a lull in calls, I was thinking of a couple of ideas to revamp the blog so be on the lookout in the future!

Knitting

I love to knit and crochet. My best friend taught me my Junior year of college when we lived together how to knit and I have tried to improve. I get on knitting spurts where I just want to knit and last night I decided that I wanted to knit a scarf. You may wonder why I am knitting a scarf in July but I must say that a scarf is the easiest and well the only thing I know how to make so far. Someone needs to teach me something else to make. My next goal is a blanket.

I starting cable knitting a scarf before but I got annoyed with it and kind of came up with my own pattern here. Do you like?
