Making of a Father's Day

I found Joe's Father's Day present a long time ago on Pinterest. I had pinned it and knew it would be perfect for Father's Day.

I involved a late evening at Walmart getting 2 wooden letters, craft paint, and a picture frame

And of course I needed to have a little photo shoot with sweet Amelia. This was actually a little harder than I thought it would be because Amelia kept eating the letters and flipping them over! I got some interesting pictures! But I think I ended with with three cute ones in each setting. I put them together in photoshop to make sure these would be cute together.

Just a few clicks to Target and a quick pick up for a card and Amelia's Father's Day present to Daddy was complete! I think it turned out very cute!!

I think Joe liked it too!

Amelia's First Easter

We celebrated Amelia's first Easter! Each new holiday is really fun to think how to include Amelia this year. And let's be honest that it's way more fun to dress a cute baby than yourself!

I was bummed this year that I had to work Good Friday and Easter...the joys of being a nurse!

Saturday we went to our church Easter Egg Hunt. They think we had over 1200 people in attendance which is amazing! There were bouncy houses, live music, food, and of course Easter Eggs!

Even though Amelia was too young to truly enjoy an Easter egg hunt, I knew it was no time to to sit back. Of course while surfing on pinterest, I saw the cutest bunny hat and knew that Amelia needed one. I found the pattern and my mom went right to work on it. I think Amelia's hat was the hit of the day. So many people commented and I think a complete stranger came up and took her picture. I even went to the dollar spot at Target and got her a little bucket and spelled her name in scrapbook stickers.

 During the actual hunt, she was more interest in eating her bucket than any eggs but don't worry. Daddy picked out four eggs for her! On the way home, I decided that I would eat her candy and opened her eggs to find all toys!

I also of course had to get a picture of Amelia in her Easter dress in her Easter basket!

And speaking of Easter baskets, Amelia of course had to get her First Easter basket! I couldn't resist getting her a personalized Easter basket! Amelia got a bunny rattle, a Sophie giraffe teether, Praise Baby DVD, a few books, some Easter clothes, and a teddy. I am working on making her something but it's not done yet. Pictures to come!

 And we also had a special visitor for the week...

Grandma! My mom is town for the week. She and Joe got Amelia all ready for Easter services yesterday. Isn't she the cutest! How was your Easter?

Christmas 2011

Get Ready For Picture Overload!

We celebrated Amelia's First Christmas in Indiana! We traveled throught the night the Sunday night before Christmas. We left after a Christmas party and decided to go as far as Amelia would let us. She actually did really great in the car. She woke up twice to feed. She was fussy when we put her back in the carseat but stopped crying after 10 minutes or so. The next week was spent showing off our Amelia Grace. She met her Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Everything was an opportunity for a photo shoot!

Highlights of the week:
Amelia took her first bottle to start getting ready for me going back to work. She took it like a champ!

She also slept through the night Decemeber 23! She slept from 8:30 to 5:30. I was so proud! However I woke up at 3:00 and never could go back to sleep. I guess my body had gotten used to being woken up all night.

Amelia also met Santa! My Grandmother's Assisted Living Home had Santa and Friends visit so Amelia came to meet Santa. I enjoyed getting a free picture with Santa without waiting in lines at the mall! Amelia wore her Santa outfit for Santa but she was so excited she fell asleep before he got there! :)

Funny Story My parents dog Bailey loved Amelia. I was actually nervous how he would be all week with her but wherever Amelia was, Bailey wanted to be too. I know he misses her now!

 

She had her first Hupp Family Christmas which is Joe's large family. It was nice to add Amelia to our annual staircase photos.

 

  

Amelia was very blessed this Christmas with clothes, toys, books, her window seat cover! We had to use Joe's parents luggage rack to be able to get everything home! We traveled through the day on Tuesday and Amelia still did really good. But I could tell that she was over her car seat! Poor baby!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Christmas is here!!

And I have ONE gift purchased so far...I am so good! Well, I did buy myself a steam mop and told Joe that it was my Christmas present and he did a good job so that counts right?

I will soon post pictures of our humble Christmas tree. Joe and I went out early on Black Friday to score a deal at Lowe's! Although later we had a conversation in which Joe informed me that he would be okay if we didn't have a tree! Men!

But he did put up Christmas lights outside so maybe he won't get the Grinch award! Are you ready for Christmas?

Christmas

We finally have our tree up! We have a real Christmas tree this year which I have never had before. After Joe cut off some, its up and full of ornaments. We just need our tree topper and then I will post some pictures!

This weekend was full of Christmas parties and our choir cantata at church. We had to sing in both services this morning! After church I was tired. I also sang my first solo at Bethel.

Tomorrow we are going Christmas shopping which we have our list so hopefully it can be quick!

I am also reminded of the real reason we celebrate Christmas because of the birth of our Savior. HE is the reason why we are so blessed with families and churches to celebrate this season!

Christmas Season

When did Christmas get here?

Ask me how many presents I have bought.....yeah none...yikes!

But I did buy two stockings for Joe and I to hang up on our pretend mantle we have to find. I just need little ones for Cooper Bella and Levi! :) I also put our Nativity Scene we got as a wedding present.

I do enjoy that we can make our own Christmas traditions together. We still need to get our tree inside and I have got to find some decorations.

Thanksgiving 2008

I am home in the NV after Thanksgiving. I started getting sick on Sunday and by Tuesday I was really looking bad. It was an interesting Thanksgiving to know that good food is around but you cannot taste it! I was real cute bringing my kleenex box wherever I went! It was also sad because we saw a friend's baby and I couldn't even hold it! The break was nice and I even got four new tires for my car and a new ipod but I won't say why I needed a new one.

Christmas List

Did you miss me? I have been absent from the blogging world for a little bit. Because I am working full time and do not have access to the internet all day, I have been slacking.

So in honor, of my 100th post and the upcoming holiday season I decided to think of my Christmas list. I was talking with my mom about what I wanted for Christmas after some searching and thinking I have come up with my Christmas list

Happy Fourth of July

We just came back from walking around with the dogs and Cooper wanted to visit everyone. Today was nice and relaxing. This afternoon Joe installed one of the curtain rods in the bathroom. I ordered the other curtain for the other window in the bedroom. Once those are up, I show up how much curtains really do for a room!
We had a quiet dinner at home. Then I convinced Joe that we finally needed to put together our coffee table. We received this for Christmas from Joe's Grandparents and it had been sitting in it's box since. I think Joe was scared of the work involved but a hour 1/2 later it was put together and we only messed up once!

I need to get some more decorations for the coffee table but this is all I could come up with so far! Give me your suggestions!

















I'm working on a project for the wall above the piano and hopefully I will be able to post those pictures later this week but I need to head to Goodwill first! :) Tomorrow we are off to Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville for lots of roller coasters and junk food!
